Ronald McDonald House provides healthcare access to vulnerable families through lodging. Volunteer application & training required. There are various opportunities to serve at the Jacksonville location. Typically the easiest way to serve is to cook for the residents there. They have a chef who can help direct, and there's a team of Christ's Church people who are becoming familiar with the process.

Good Fight Minsitries works to help the homeless transition into safe environments and off the streets. If this is your heart, let us connect you.

Bags of essential items are gathered and distributed to homeless, poor, widow, and orphan. Teammates can help gather supplies and/or deliver them.

Mercy Support Services is looking for bilingual assistance from flexible people willing to accept on-call style assistance with translation services. Their two most common needed languages needed are Spanish and French Creole. However, they often encounter other languages too. Would be working directly with Mercy Support Services Programs team.

Provides Life Coaching services to people as they need it. Would be working with Mercy Support Services directly.

Mobile shower vehicle for underserved that will need willing hands and hearts to assist.

Quigley House is a live-in shelter for abused women. They are on the westside of town and have multiple ways to volunteer to serve the team and the residents.

There are a couple of people who expressed interest in setting up a mobile oil change service in the church campus parking lots for a day or two to change oil for single moms. We're hoping this comes to fruition.

SIHP is a ministry that builds beds for underprivileged kids who need them. There are a couple of ways to support them; through acquiring materials and donating what they need, or through helping to build beds at their site.

Arize Together is an amazing organization that provides Christ-Centered Community and resources for women and their families that were formerly trapped in sex trafficking. They have events for their members and are looking for Christ's Church child care approved workers to go on a call list. This is no longer a paid service, as the Lord is bringing them people with this ministry on their heart.

Partner with Christ's Church volunteers working to coach teen moms. Their mission with this ministry is to support pregnant and teenage parents through mentorship, community and a life with Christ.

Crown Point Elementary is one of the closest Title 1 schools to the Mandarin Christ's Church Campus. We are looking for someone with a vision to collaborate with the principal to support the children and affirm the staff, as the relationship with them grows. This person will work collaboratively with Christ's Church and Crown Point Elementary to identify ways we can serve.

With it's close proximity to Mayport Naval Station, there are should be multiple opportunities to serve the school. We are looking for someone with a vision to collaborate with the principal to support the children and affirm the staff, while collaboratively working with the church and school to identify the best ways we can partner on projects.

Kim’s Open Door brings the nations to Jacksonville! They share the love of Christ through education and the arts. They have recently opened an International Academy to teach English to refugee children in our area. Volunteers will assist with a Community Garden (and other opportunities if desired) that they have set up to provide food needs to local refugee residents.

Join us on September 7th as we go out to Ed Austin Park (11751 McCormick Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32225) from 130-7 and serve up the players of All Nations Soccer. We'll cook enough food for about 350 people and man the grills, the counters, and the fields as we help hand out water and snacks, and take part in discipleship moments during each games half time. There are typically 4 games going every 2 hours (2, 4, and 6) and approximately 700 people that come through for the games. Don't miss this amazing chance to "love thy neighbor" in a meaningful way.

Please join us in creating a Christmas Party atmosphere to serve the families that come to receive their gifts from the fathers and grandfathers of the Baker Re-Entry facility. It is an incredible chance to meet new people and welcome them in as only Christ's Church can. Party will consist of music, game or craft, cookies, hot chocolate, and photos with Santa. And this all happens in the Atrium/lobby while the guardian is able to pick up the gifts for the kids and taken them to the car. This will be an amazing way to show the love of Jesus and the meaning of Christmas to some very under-served families.
The party goes from 10-12, so volunteers will be asked to plan to show up an hour early and stay an hour afterwards.

This is the inventory sort and gift wrap party happening for the families that are coming to receive gifts for Baker Re-Entry. Because it is part of the Christ's Church Seniors small group, additional participants are limited. Please join us to serve at the Mayport Christmas Shop to serve the families of the school and the Active Duty Military at Mayport Coastal Science Middle School on Weds night, December the 11th. We'll arrive by 430 and open the doors by 530 to get the shop rolling. It will likely go to 9PM when we shut it down and wrap up. We're hoping to split this into 2 volunteer shifts, so please make a note if you prefer the earlier or later shift and we'll make do our best to make it happen.
