City Rescue Mission
Community Closet

Volunteers will organize shelves, sort and tag donated clothes and fill bags with toiletry items for the men and women at City Rescue Mission.

Soap with Hope - Laundry Ministry
Ages: 18+
This new ministry will visit local laundry mats on Saturday mornings in hopes to accomplish two goals: help people pay for their laundry and spread the gospel. Volunteers will go out 2 by 2 to specific laundry mats, offer to pay for customer's laundry cycle, provide the supplies, and share the gospel as they get to know the people. This is the perfect opportunity to get out into local neighborhoods and serve God's people. If you do not have the availability to go out, they are welcoming monetary donations to help pay for the laundry loads. For more information, contact Everette Mason at EveretteM@Christs.Church.

The Storehouse - Volunteer opportunity and Donation Drop-off
Time: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm-6pm, 1st Saturday of the month 9am-12pm
Ages: All ages welcome; children accompanied by parents or high-school or older can come by themselves,
Location: The Storehouse is located on the site of New Life Church. It is a gray warehouse to the south side of the property, right off of Hodges Blvd.
It is their mission to be a lighthouse of hope for the local community to access during leaner times. A Storehouse building filled with practical resources (clothing, furniture, household items, etc.) to access and freely give to the community as needs arise. https://www.nlcf.org/storehouse/

Arize Together - Child Care Worker Call List
Ages: 18+
Arize Together is an amazing organization that provides Christ-Centered Community and resources for women and their families that were formerly trapped in sex trafficking. They have events for their members and are looking for Christ's Church child care approved workers to go on a call list.

Arize Together - Sister Allies
Ages: 21+
Location: Arize Together Clubhouse
Arize Together is an amazing organization that serves women survivors of sexual exploitation to foster smooth transitions -- providing opportunities for purposeful connections, a network of allies and continued access to resources.
Each survivor is paired with a sister ally, who meets with her regularly, is her champion, and ideally long term friend. Sister ally candidates complete an application, interviews and training before they are paired with members (this training program can take several months).

Adopt Me! Sleep in Heavenly Peace
SIHP is a ministry that builds beds for underprivileged kids who need them. There are a couple of ways to support them; through acquiring materials and donating what they need, or through helping to build beds at their site.

Seamark Ranch Work Days
Date: 2nd Saturday of every month

Ages: Open to All
Each month, Seamark Ranch opens their farm for a fun, family-friendly work day. Join us for their Saturday Work Day! There are always things to do on the farm!
Minors must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver in order to serve at Seamark.
These work days occur on the 2nd Saturdays of every month.

NAS Jax Chapel Support Team
NAS Jax has reopened their Protestant Chapel for services. From Jan-March of 2025 there will be 2 services a month. In April, they will move to 4 services. On February 9th & 23rd, Christ's Church will be supporting their Chapel services and need volunteers to help.
As a partner church for Naval Air Station Jacksonville Chapel, we are developing a team of people that go in and act as support for their services. That support includes making sure the chapel and fellowship halls are straightened and ready for service, and act as a welcoming committee for those coming into service. Additional roles may be in serving communion, collecting offerings for them, and cleaning up the fellowship hall when service is over.

Join our dedicated group of people who pray daily at 1:11 pm, regardless of where they are, for God's favor and opportunities for Christ's Church (as a body and as individuals) as we seek to spread the gospel and make better disciples.

Crown Point Elementary Team
Ages: 16+
Our own Michelle Meyers leads the ministry to Crown Point Elementary School. She goes to quarterly faith based meetings at the school and comes back with wonderful ways to love the faculty and students there. She also maintains relationships with the vice principals and helps coordinate collections and drives for the school through our amazing Seniors ministry.
